The arithmetic, done for you
Enter the dose for one administration, how many times a day, and how many days. The pocket card multiplies it out for every medicine on the chart and prints the totals in a single column — twenty-one tablets, one hundred and forty millilitres, six capsules. Show that card at the pharmacy counter and buy the entire course in one visit.
Why under-buying matters
Running out on the last two days of an antibiotic is medically the same as choosing to stop early: the course is incomplete. It is also how half-used strips accumulate in a drawer and get taken later for an unrelated illness. Buying the correct quantity at the start removes both problems.
Where a number is not honest
Ointments, creams and inhalers are dispensed by pack, not by dose — nobody buys ten tubes because a cream is applied ten times. For these the quantity column simply shows a dash rather than inventing a figure, and the pharmacist decides the pack size.
Syrups and part-doses
Type the dose as you would say it — 5 ml, 10 ml, half a tablet — and the calculation follows the number you entered. For a syrup at 10 ml twice daily for seven days, the card shows 140 ml, which tells you at a glance whether one bottle is enough.
How to make one
- Add each medicine with its dose
- Open the Pocket card sheet
- Print it and show it at the pharmacy
Questions
Does it account for a missed dose?
No. It calculates the full prescribed course. Buy a little extra if doses are often missed.
Can I print just the quantities?
Yes. The pocket card is a separate printable sheet with the quantity column on it.
Does it know pack sizes?
No — pack sizes vary by brand and country. It gives the total you need; the pharmacist converts that into packs.
A note on safety. PillsChart reproduces the schedule you type. It does not check doses or interactions. Always follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist, and check the printed chart against the prescription before anyone relies on it.

Ready to make your chart?
It takes about two minutes and prints on one page. Nothing you type leaves your device.
