A medication tracker sheet for senior care

Older patients often take five or more medicines with different timings. A tracker turns that into one page anyone in the household can follow.

One sheet for every medicine

Prescriptions, drops, inhalers and the supplements people forget to mention all belong on the same sheet. Anything left off the chart is invisible to whoever reads it, and supplements interact with prescribed medicines more often than most families expect.

Designed to be read across a room

The hour of the day is the largest element on the page, set in wide figures with a sunrise, sun or moon marker beside it. Printed on A3 the numerals are large enough to read from a few feet away, which is the difference between a chart that gets used and one that gets ignored.

A record for the next appointment

The tick sheet doubles as a log. Bring it to the review and it answers questions nobody can answer from memory: which doses were being missed, and when the new symptom started relative to the new tablet.

Buy the right quantity

The pocket card totals how much each medicine the full course needs, so a repeat prescription can be bought in one visit instead of running out mid-course. For creams and inhalers, which are dispensed by pack, it shows a dash rather than inventing a number.

How to make one

  1. Add every medicine including supplements
  2. Print A3 for the wall
  3. Print a fresh tick sheet each week

Questions

How often should I reprint?

Whenever anything changes, and otherwise weekly if you are using the tick sheet as a record.

Can I make one sheet for two people?

No — make one per person. Mixing two people on a page is where dosing errors begin.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, after the first visit.

A note on safety. PillsChart reproduces the schedule you type. It does not check doses or interactions. Always follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist, and check the printed chart against the prescription before anyone relies on it.

Ready to make your chart?

It takes about two minutes and prints on one page. Nothing you type leaves your device.
